I focus my legal practice in the areas of personal injury, workers’ compensation, and civil litigation. Too often the legal system is stacked against the people who need justice the most, and I believe the law can be a tool used by ordinary people to level the playing field against powerful businesses and insurance companies. The best part about being an attorney is working directly with real people, and serving as an advocate for their rights under the law.
Born and raised in North Carolina, I obtained my undergraduate degree at North Carolina State University, where I focused my studies on law and government, particularly when these topics collide with topics of race, equality, and philosophy.
Driven by my interests in the legal system, I decided to pursue a career in the law. I obtained my law degree at Campbell University School of Law, where I focused on trial advocacy, and served as an Honor Court Chief Justice, a Peer Mentor Program Director, and a Legal Research Assistant. While in law school, I worked for the Office of the Federal Public Defender, the United States Bankruptcy Court (EDNC), and the Wake County Public Defender’s Office.
I enjoy spending time with my wife and our young family. We love checking out the Triangle’s newest restaurants, hanging out at nearby parks, catching local shows and sporting events, and taking family trips, especially to North Carolina’s beautiful mountains and beaches.
