JACOB DeBALTZO joined Obral, Silk & Pal, LLC in early 2024.
Prior to joining Obral, Silk & Pal, Mr. DeBaltzo acquired over 4 years of experience in personal injury law while working as a law clerk in the greater Cleveland area. Mr. DeBaltzo’s areas of practice focus on providing relief for people who have been injured by another person’s wrongdoing; these include claims caused by motor vehicle collisions, nursing home negligence, workers’ compensation, slip-and-fall, premises liability, product liability, wrongful death, and medical malpractice.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Jacob received his undergraduate degree in linguistics from Brigham Young University before returning to Cleveland to attend Case Western Reserve University School of Law. While in law school, he was a lead litigator on the CWRU Ault Mock Trial Team and a Senator in the Student Bar Association.
Mr. DeBaltzo is licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Ohio and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. He is active in his local legal community and is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys, and the Ohio Association for Justice.
When he’s not at the office, Jacob enjoys spending time with his family here in Northeast Ohio, traveling abroad, kayaking, cycling, working on DIY projects, keeping up with emergent technologies, and binge-watching television.
