The youngest of five children, Jason grew up on a farm in Lanesboro, Minnesota, where he developed his love of animals. In elementary school, he moved to the tiny town of Iola, Texas. He completed a BA and an MA in English at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.
Prior to finding his true passion for law, Jason worked as a professor and a financial advisor. He went on to obtain his JD from the South Texas College of Law in Houston, where he graduated Cum Laude. While there, he was also awarded the Order of the Lytae and the Dean’s Merit Scholarship and served on Law Review.
