A successful property developer in the UK, Frank Mountain currently manages a wide range of projects, both residential and commercial.
One of the projects in which Frank Mountain has recently been involved is Winter Gardens in Bournemouth. Following acquisition of the site from receivers mid 2009, Frank’s work led to the site’s planning consent being expanded both in terms of residential and holiday apartments, allowing for more to be done with the property than was previously possible.
Another example of Frank’s recent work includes several property developments in Poole, one of which was acquired through an offshore trust in 2009. With funding being obtained from Secondary lenders, Frank dealt with planners and obtained planning consent for the development of a single luxury unit, with the presale of the site being negotiated following a doubling of square footage compared to the size of the previous house.
Another property development in Poole gave Frank the opportunity to obtain the consent for the development of 10 flats, compared to the previous consent for 7 flats. With a build period of around 12 months, Frank is also closely involved in the management of this project.
Through much involvement in the commercial property markets in the UK, Frank Mountain has built up a wealth of experience. In Scotland, for instance, Frank helped to asset manage a shopping centre in the west of Glasgow, acquired for around £15m , in order to increase income, re-let vacant units and develop the scheme to extend the centre to provide better use of space and increase income.
